10 Spring Cleaning Ideas to Make Your Home (& Life) Lighter
Mia Danielle shows you 10 spring cleaning ideas that will lighten up and brighten up your home. These spring cleaning tips help you to remove all of those wintertime layers. Mia Danielle promises you these tips will help you to welcome the airy vibes of the new spring season.
1. Windows
Open the curtains, clean them, wash the windows, then open them up for fresh air.
2. Closet
Winter items take up a lot of space in your closet. Put away the heavy thick wool sweaters for the season.
3. Blankets
Retire the winter blankets, throws, and giant comforters. Swap them out with lighter fabrics and less bulky throws.
4. Coats and jackets
Remove the bulky outerwear, donate what you don’t wear, or move them more toward the back of the closet.
5. Food
Get rid of winter’s heavy calorie-dense, high-carb foods, and sweets from your cabinets.
6. Finances
Go on a no-spend challenge. There are fewer holidays, lighter meals, and less clothing in the spring and all these things set you up for success by spending less money.
7. Dust
Go behind items and hidden areas, like the backs of televisions, to get rid of those layers of accumulated dust. This will lighten the air that you’re breathing.
8. Declutter
Donate gifts, seasonal items, and other winter clutter you don’t intend to use next year.
9. Bedding
Use lighter sheets and comforters so you won’t get overheated as temperatures rise.
10. Colors
Lighter colors naturally make a space feel lighter and more open, airy, and breathable. Look for ways to bring in more light tones and lighter colors into your space.
