4 Tips on How To Redecorate Farmhouse Style On A Budget

Flooring can be a very expensive part to redecorating or fixing up any room. In fact, it can be the most expensive part if you are not replacing furniture.

Everyone loves traditional hard wood floors because they are timeless and can last generations. But authentic hard wood floors are not in everyone’s budget.

There are some amazing vinyl flooring options that look just as nice as hard wood floors that cost half as much or less!

I’m personally a fan of click vinyl as it is easy to install. There are some great styles on sale right now over on Home Depot!

I recently got these floating shelves over on Amazon. They are nice and sturdy and have the great farmhouse rustic feel to them. I did pay $25 for them, but I think that is an ok price for something that will stay on my walls for a decade or more. Now what goes on the shelves, especially if it is strictly for decor, I do not spend a lot of money on.

For example, I got the frame on the top left at Pier One a long time ago (it was on clearance) for I think less than $5.

The little fake grass in the pot I got at Michaels last month for $3 (with a 50% off coupon.)

The top right vase was a yard sale find I think I paid less than $1 for.

The patterned bowls was a Christmas Tree Shop find a few years ago for $1.

The bird on the lowest shelf was a gift from my mom.

The Flowers & Garden metal container I got at the Dollar Tree last month for $1.

I dried out my own hydrangeas from my own garden last fall, so for me they were free.

I spent under $15 total to fill these floating shelves!

When I am shopping around places that have some great decor items, like at Michaels, A.C. Moore, or Joann Fabric, I often times take pictures of items I see that I could actually make myself for less cost.
