It’s Thursday friend.

You are almost to Friday. It’s so close that it’s waving at you. I’m not sure if you already have plans for Saturday yet, but I have a few fun ideas for you.

I get project fever right about now.

The snow has melted. The rain has passed. The sun is shining and the warm breezes are tiptoeing across the back yard and I can feel summer knocking at the back door.

Everything feels fresh and new and bright and happy.

And I want the house to feel just like that.

Your Saturday may already be full.

But just in case you had a few extra minutes.

Here are 9 budget decorating ideas you can finish in a weekend.

1. drop cloth curtains

I have no sew drop cloth curtains and sew drop cloth curtain tutorials for you.

You can see them both here.

Along with ALL THE QUESTIONS.

2. DIY drop cloth wreath

This wreath is so easy to make.

All you need is a round leaf form and drop cloth (you can use the extras that you cut off your curtains).

See the entire tutorial here.

3. Style your open kitchen cabinets

This project will take you about 2 hours.

But the results?

They will last until 2020.

If you don’t have open kitchen cabinets, you could style a bookcase or a hutch.

See all the how to’s here.

4. Unslump your couch cushions

This is an EASY 20-minute decorating project.

If you have slumpy couch cushions, you can fix them in a hot minute.

See the entire step-by-step solution here.

5. Hang up a window and decorate it

So many of us have these sitting around our house.

Windows.

Frames.

Architectural pieces.

Here are four ways to inspire you to hang yours up and decorate it.

6. Rethink your rugs

Area rugs can be one of the most expensive things to add to a room.

Here are a few tips and ideas to save money on your rugs.

You can use this tip.

Or this tip, too.

7. Paint the back of a bookcase

This is such an easy and budget idea to make a big impact on your space.

You can change up the look of a room by painting a bookcase.

See the DIY here.

8. Raised panel wall

This is a project that will take you the entire weekend, not just Saturday.

But it makes such a difference in a space.

(I only did this above a chair rail to make it easier)

Here’s how to build a raised panel wall.

9. Make a set of planter boxes for your front door

Get your front door ready for guests with this planter project.

But don’t spend a ton of money on planters.

You can make your own.

See the DIY here.

May your Thursday be wonderful.

But your Friday? And your weekend?

I hope it’s EVEN BETTER.

PS In super fun news, I was on The Washington Post this morning answering questions.

You can see the entire live chat here.

Happy day friend!
