If you’re hosting a party and need to leave out salads and fruit you can keep them fresh and cool with these hacks. Fill a shower cap with ice and put the bowl in the shower cap. If you don’t have a shower cap or you need a larger cooler, freeze some water in the bottom of an aluminum tin. This will give you a nice sheet of ice to place your fruits and salads on to keep them cool.

Here is a kitchen hack that will make your life easier. When you cook, double the recipe and freeze half. Now you’ll have a no-fuss meal option for later in the week or months.

Did you know Irish Springs soap can be used to repel flies and mosquitoes? Grate a bar of Irish Springs and put it in a shallow cup or a bowl with a candle. You can also run the full bar of soap along the doorposts to your home to deter pesky bugs from entering the house.


Ever have trouble getting tomato paste or cranberry sauce out of the can? Open both sides of the can. Remove the bottom and use the top to push out the food. It will slide right out.


Home hacks like this or putting drops of essential oils in the filter of your vacuum to eliminate odors are just a few of the countless ways you can optimize your use of household items.

    Super ideas! HOWEVER, the waist-to-neck ration ONLY works with items that fit around the waist -- not lower than the waist, as in hip-huggers.

    I'd love to know how to clean my stove I've tried baking soda and dawn soap this did work however it needs a deep clean

      Home Depot that is for cleaning cool tops, it worked well.
