Thrift With Me: How to Save the Most Money on the Best Finds
If there’s one thing Kallie Branciforte loves, it’s going thrift shopping, saving big, and finding cool things.
In her thrift with me series, she shows off all of the thrift shopping hacks she’s developed over the years. And you can’t afford to miss it!
The first of Kallie’s thrifting tips during this particular shopping trip is to know when to shop.
Both the day of the week and the time of the day are important considerations because you want to hit the stores when stock is high and traffic is low. Plus, the perfect time to shop for seasonal items is out of season.
The next thrift hacks Kallie swears by include knowing about upcoming sales and going to your local stores often. You can save big by clearing out their inventory and find the best products by looking at what rotates in and out week by week.
Other thrift shopping tips Kallie recommends include making a list—so you don’t get overwhelmed—being willing to DIY repairs or repurpose items, and making use of donation coupons.
She also suggests visiting different stores around town, especially those in nicer areas which tend to get higher quality donations. Plus, those stores tend to get picked over less often.
Kallie says not to forget about consignment shops either. Many of these stores have great deals waiting to be found.
And, while you're there, check out clothing outside of your gender. Oftentimes, you can find what you're looking for in other sections you wouldn’t have seen without pursuing those aisles.
Lastly, Kallie says that nowadays it’s easy to thrift online. With websites like thredUP, you can find tons of gently used items for much less than the original ticket price.
And Kallie shows you just how easy it is to navigate sites like these on her thrift with me series!
