You may have seen a tiny house in Tokyo before, but have you ever seen one that’s the size of a normal parking lot space? The parking space home featured on the latest episode of Never Too Small is one of those must-see-to-believe kinds of tiny houses. And it will definitely get you talking.

Tiny homes in Japan are quite common—thanks to limited space and a high premium on land—so it’s no wonder that a tiny home of this small stature is located here. At a mere 602 sq ft, this tiny house in Tokyo actually looks pretty modern and still manages to feel homey for the family of four who live there.

As you walk up to the tiny house in Tokyo, located in Shinjuku specifically, you’ll notice its black metal exterior and gold accents right away. Step inside, and see the floor-to-ceiling windows that offer plenty of natural light. Other noticeable features include a large atrium, a spacious outdoor deck, mirrored storage cabinets, and a cafe-like dining room.

But what really stands out to most is the professional kitchen, which includes a huge sink basin, state-of-the-art commercial appliances, and metal racks for storage. Everything in this space is stainless steel which provides a certain aesthetic but is also easy to clean and maintain.

A small toilet room located off the living area is quite convenient for the growing family. And is separated by a gorgeous antique door which inspired the colors used throughout this area of the home as well.

On the top floor is a large concrete bathroom, with a shower, toilet, sink, and a full-size bathtub, along with two bedrooms and a niche for book storage. And this tiny house in Tokyo shows just how much you can have with such a small footprint.

Amazing use of space. The home looks modern but the wood colors also adds a traditional feel. Well done!
