4 Delicious Grilling Recipes to Try Out at Your Next BBQ

Grilling season is coming, so today I want to share my best grilling recipes. Grilling is such a fun and simple way to cook food, and it nearly always turns out delicious. Let’s get to cooking!

Grilled steak & chicken kebabs

These steak and chicken kebabs were absolutely delicious. They are the perfect grilling summer recipe.

1. Cut up some sirloin steaks into bigger chunk size pieces that will fit on the skewers.

2. For the marinade, mix ½ cup olive oil, ⅓ cup soy sauce, ¼ cup each of lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Season with 1 tablespoon each of garlic powder and Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon pepper and ½ teaspoon salt. Marinate the meat for at least eight hours, or optimally overnight.

3. Marinate the chicken the same way, but adding a little bit of brown sugar. Chicken does not need that long to marinate, so give it about four hours.

4. If you are using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for a while to make sure they do not catch on fire.

5. Time to assemble our kebabs. Set out the variety of vegetables, such as onions, peppers, and zucchini, as well as your steak and chicken. Assemble as you like, I suggest alternating veggies and meat.

6. Set the skewers on the grill and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 and the steak is just cooked to your liking.

Here is the finished product. Both chicken and steak were amazing, and since we made extra, they made excellent meal prep for the week. We served it with sautéed mushrooms and a stick of butter rice.

2. Grilled BBQ chicken

This is definitely one of my personal favorites.

1. Season a couple of chicken breasts with whatever seasonings you know your family is going to enjoy, and get the grill ready.

2. Get the chicken breasts on the grill, and cook for a few minutes on each side. Make sure that the internal temperature is 165 before taking it off.

3. Add some barbecue sauce on top of the chicken while on the grill. To maximize the flavor, brush it on and flip it, then do it on the other side as well.

I served the chicken with some parmesan flavored couscous and steamed green beans which I made in the bags, then dumped them out, added a little bit of butter, some balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and then just tossed them.

This was a super simple and absolutely delicious dinner.

Grilled mahi-mahi

3. Grilled mahi-mahi

We love grilled fish in the summertime. Tonight, we decided to do mahi-mahi. I like to get my mahi-mahi from Sam's Club. It is a pretty good value, and you get pretty decent-sized pieces as well.

1. Season the fish with some spicy Montreal steak seasoning, 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder and smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon each of dried oregano, onion powder and dried thyme, and ¼ teaspoon each of sea salt and ground pepper.

2. Heat up your grill, add on the fish and turn it down as low as possible in order to avoid burning the fish, as it is super delicate. You can also lay down some foil so the fish does not stick to the grill, but as long as you turn it down, it should be alright even without foil. Make sure that the fish is the internal temperature of 14 before taking it off the grill.

To go along with the fish, I just fixed an easy pasta side dish, as well as some roasted veggies.

BBQ bacon cheddar burgers

4. BBQ bacon cheddar burgers

These are a great way to change up a classic burger, especially if you are looking to try out something new in the summer months.

1. In a large pot or bowl, mix a couple pounds of ground beef with some cheddar cheese, some W sauce, barbecue sauce, some 1836 beef rub.

2. Form that into patties and put those on the grill.

3. When the burgers are almost done, slather them with some more barbecue sauce and make sure that barbecue sauce cooks in.

4. Cook up some bacon.

5. Set out your burgers, bacon, buns, and whatever else you want in your burger, I heated up a can of baked beans, brought out some seasonings and made some cheesy broccoli.
