Skincare Tips That Don’t Break the Bank

Knowing a few tricks can make all the difference when you want to maintain your skincare routine as affordable as possible. Here are some skincare guidelines that you can afford.

Replace expensive masks with charcoal-based alternative

Face masks tend to be quite expensive, especially if you want to use ones that are highly advertised on TV or through social media ads. Expensive masks aren’t.

Charcoal mask variations have become quite popular over the last few years, considering the skin improvements they bring.

Charcoal eliminates toxins, prevents breakouts, hydrates your skin, helps you get rid of impurities, brightens your complexion, and those unpleasant blackheads you have will finally disappear.

Besides the results charcoal offers, another thing that cannot be neglected is that you can find masks containing this ingredient at affordable prices.

Invest in quality makeup brushes

Quality makeup brushes will help you apply makeup more evenly and prevent bacteria from getting into your pores.

Applying makeup products directly onto the face with fingers or sponges may cause breakouts or irritation due to bacteria buildup on these tools over time.

Do your mask mix from natural ingredients

Plenty of homemade mask mixes can work for the type of skin issue you are trying to improve. You may want to reduce blemishes, have more luminous skin, or keep your skin hydrated.

Instead of purchasing a product, you could make your own organic face peels and masks out of all-natural ingredients you might already have at home.

These have no harmful ingredients to worry about and no unreasonable price tags to pay. You can find plenty of tutorials on homemade face masks just by searching on YouTube or Google.

Hydration

While using a moisturizer daily is necessary, to rely less on the products you are using for hydration and to maintain your complexion healthily, what you should do is drink more water.

Your daily water intake will readily show how your skin looks like. Proper water consumption will boost the health and appearance of your skin.

Get sweaty

Do you want clear skin, free of pimples and blackheads? You should try exercising more. Working out boosts blood flow to the skin. This ramps up sweat glands to eliminate the toxins that usually clog your pores, causing pimples.

15 More Tips For Better Skincare On A Budget

  1. Use a gentle cleanser – Look for a cleanser free of harsh chemicals and fragrances.
  2. Moisturize your skin – Choose an oil-free moisturizer specifically designed for teenage skin.
  3. Exfoliate once a week – Using a gentle scrub or exfoliating tool can help remove dead skin cells and keep your complexion fresh and healthy.
  4. Treat acne – Over-the-counter acne treatments can effectively treat mild to moderate breakouts.
  5. Protection from sun damage – Wear sunscreen daily, even on cloudy days, to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
  6. Take care of your diet – Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables will help keep your skin hydrated and glowing naturally.
  7. Avoid over-exfoliation – Too much exfoliation can strip away the natural oils in your skin, leading to dryness and irritation.
  8. Don’t pick at pimples – Picking at pimples can lead to scarring and further inflammation of the area, so it’s best to leave them alone!
  9. Get enough sleep – Getting enough restful sleep helps reduce stress levels which can affect overall skin health. Aim for 7-8 hours per night for optimal results.
  10. Use products with natural ingredients – Natural ingredients such as aloe vera, honey, tea tree oil, etc., are great alternatives for skincare as they are gentler on the skin than harsh chemicals found in many store-bought products.
  11. Wear breathable fabrics – Wearing breathable fabrics allows air to flow around the body, which helps keep sweat away from the face preventing any potential breakouts caused by trapped sweat/oil on the skin’s surface.
  12. Don’t forget about eye cream – Eye creams are important for keeping wrinkles at bay around this delicate area! Look for one with SPF protection as well as hydrating properties.
  13. Remove makeup before bed – Sleeping with makeup on can clog pores and lead to breakouts, so remove it with a gentle cleanser or micellar water.
  14. Take cold showers – Cold showers are great for tightening pores and reducing inflammation on the skin, which helps keep breakouts under control.
  15. Use toners – Toners help restore the pH level of your skin after cleansing, helping to balance the oiliness in your face and prevent any further irritation caused by harsh skincare products.

A gorgeous 80+ client, with beautiful skin, minimal wrinkles... told me her BIGGEST secret in her skin care routine...use a face cloth with warm water, wiping upwards and towards hairline, gently around the eyes, and vinegar on a makeup pad as her toner, again wiping same as washing.

I finish off with rubbing organic coconut oil in as my moisturizer, and a light SPF cream overtop in the summer. I do use a little eye cream, with my ring fingers dabbing from center outward.

Now people can't guess MY age!
