Try This Powerful 5-Minute Clean-Up Strategy For a Tidy Home

Stop cleaning already! Dawn from The Minimal Mom says anyone can clean their home quickly and efficiently with her 5-minute clean-up strategy. And you should start immediately.

As a minimal mom, Dawn insists that taking on a 5-minute daily declutter project can do wonders for your home. Instead of getting stuck working on chores all weekend long, tackling projects in little bursts of time can be just as powerful. And you’re sure to notice the results.

The hardest part is getting started, says Dawn, but a 5-minute clean-up, 5-minute declutter, or 5-minute organization session is all you need to get your honey-do list done. Plus, it will give you so much of your precious time back that you can use to do the things you love.

To get started, Dawn recommends starting in the kitchen since it’s such a busy space in your home. You can make a big dent in the mess you created while cooking or baking in the kitchen in the same amount of time you would use to drink a cup of coffee or scroll through social media. And by setting a 5-minute timer, you can see the difference in the effort made.

The 5-minute clean up

Moving onto the bathroom, you can easily put away hair care and health and beauty products, wipe down countertops, and put away towels before your 5-minute timer goes off. And it’s a much better use of your time than aimlessly watching videos on your phone.

Dawn says you can use this same 5-minute clean-up strategy in other rooms of your home too. This includes the laundry room, bedrooms, and living room. Lastly, you can use it to complete all of the small projects you keep putting off like making phone calls, paying bills, or responding to emails.

The 5-minute clean up

So set a timer, tackle your own 5-minute clean-up, and see just how much you can get done.
