Let’s talk about minimalist beauty. How can you take care of yourself with just a few products? There are just so many beauty products promoted to us to suggest we need to buy tons of it and subscribe to services to look well and be healthy.

I disagree.

The only service I get is hairdressing because I can’t get the color right on my own. Here are some handy tips and tricks for a sustainable minimalist beauty routine at home.

Moisturizer

1. Skin moisturizing

When skin is dry all the time, it ages faster. I use coconut lime lotion made with coconut oil, called Lovefresh Coconut Lime Hand & Body Lotion. I used to use argan oil, which is also amazing, but it was a little pricey. The scent is strong, but I like it, and it isn’t tested on animals, which I love.

Hand repair cream

2. Hand cream

I use a hand repair cream with a thicker texture, called Scentuals Rosemary Mint Hand Repair Cream. It’s great for my hands in the winter.

Sun protection sunscreen

3. Sun protection

SPF cream is important for the summer and I use Garnier Ombrelle Sunscreen, and I’ve had this bottle for almost two years.

Essential oils

4. Oils

I use essential oils, including tea tree, peppermint, and a Summer Collection. It dries my pimples, especially the tea tree oil. The Summer Collection is like perfume for a nice, fresh smell. I add 10 to 15 drops in my bath, too. I use oil diffusers to calm down before sleep or when I work.

Skin brush

5. Skin brush

I use a brush for my skin. The long bamboo brush exfoliates my feet, legs, neck, and back. It’s super relaxing in the shower but I also dry brush my skin. It wakes up my skin, removes dry skin, and gets the blood circulation going, too.

Foot file

6. Foot file

I do my own manicures and pedicures at home. This foot file also removes dry skin that I get from blisters that form when I’m running.

Manicure and pedicure scissors

7. Manicure and pedicure scissors

I have good quality tools that have lasted for about five years. I have scissors and a tool to manage my cuticles.

Jade roller massage tool

8. Massage tools

I sit in front of my computer a lot and I use a wellness ball to relieve a lot of tension. You place it on the back of your neck and roll it around. It feels like a great, free massage. If you want a back massage, put the ball between a wall and your back and slide yourself around for a massage.

I also have a small jade roller to release the tension on my neck and face. I also massage my face with my hands, as well.

9. Hair removal tool

This one tool takes care of everything so I don’t need to go get waxed. I use a battery-run Veet Ladies Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler. I have had it for about three years.

It has two attachments to target different areas. I use the smaller attachment to shape my eyebrows. The larger attachment is for the bikini area and legs.

Minimalist beauty products

I think those are all the tools I’m using for my minimalist skincare routine. I hope this helps you downsize all the beauty products you spend money on that you may not need to feel well and healthy. Let me know in the comments if you have other minimalist beauty tools that you use.
