How to Use the Upside App & Earn Cashback Easily

I'm going to show you how to use the Upside app, an app I've been using lately. I feel Upside might be the easiest to use, giving you cashback on everyday purchases. These are things that you are likely spending money on anyway, like gasoline, grocery stores, and restaurants.

I'm going to talk with you about the app, show you how to get it, how to find offers, how to redeem offers, and then how to get your cashback.

I downloaded the app and started playing with it because I want to make sure that the cashback apps I'm telling you about are legitimate, valuable, and safe before I push them out there.

How to get the Upside app

You can get the app in your phone's App Store. Once you download the app to your phone, it will ask you to sign in. You'll need to use an email address and password.

The app asks you about your location preferences.

You can tell it to always allow the app to know your location, or you can allow it only to know your location when you're using the app. That's all you have to do to get the app.

How to find offers

Now let's talk about how to find offers. I love that Upside makes it easy to find offers near you. They have offers on gasoline up to $0.25 back per gallon of gas purchased.

They also have offers for up to 45% back on restaurants, up to 30% cashback on groceries, and up to 22% back on purchases made at convenience stores.

How to find offers

The app works based on location, and there's a little button that you can push, and when you push that, it will pinpoint your location and find offers near you.

You can toggle between gasoline, restaurants, groceries, and convenience stores, and it will find the available offers near your location. You can also drag the map, and you can look at other areas as well.

How to claim an offer

After searching for offers, let's say you find one that looks interesting. You will see there are two buttons. One that says more info. One that says Claim Offer. Go ahead and click on more info. That way, you make sure you understand what the offer is.

If you want to take advantage of that offer, you will want to click the button that says Claim Offer. Once you hit the Claim Offer, you have a certain amount of time to check in to redeem that offer.

For the most part, you don't even have to upload a receipt with the Upside app. You use a credit or a debit card. You can't use cash.

You have to pay with a credit card or a debit card, and the offer recognizes that you have used the card that you have registered with Upside and the cashback comes to your Upside account.

Once you claim the offer, the next step is to go to the location where the offer is. If I claim an offer for gasoline, I want to go ahead and drive to that gas station.

Then I will hit the button that says Check In. Once I check in, the app will tell me that I can check out using my debit card or my credit card, or it will ask me to upload a receipt.

If for some reason, it does not recognize that I am at the location that I say I am at, it might ask me to upload a receipt, but overall it recognizes my debit or credit card purchase at that location.

Upside only gets the first six and the last four digits of your card number, so your account information will stay safe. Once you pay, you'll see the cashback get into your Upside account.

From the app's home screen, you will want to click on those three little lines in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

You'll see a drop-down menu, and you'll want to click on the button that says Cash Out.

Here you will notice that you have the option to cash out to a bank account or you can cash out to a gift card. The minimum amount for the gift card is $10, and they have many different gift card options.

You can also link your bank account. They go through a system to verify your identity and make sure they keep your bank account information safe. You have to cash out at a minimum of $10, or you will pay a small fee.

I have loved using Upside. I use it every time I fill up on gas, and the money just keeps accumulating in my account, which is fantastic. From what I'm hearing, they're going to expand quite a bit in the

restaurant market and then grocery stores and convenience stores.
