I have made three appetizers and one dessert and I’ll share these Super Bowl recipes with you.

These game-day food ideas are easy and delicious to make. I always feel like I make the same recipes so I wanted to try some new and easy ideas. Here they are!

1. Crescent sausage squares

They may not be pretty but they taste amazing. It takes three ingredients to quickly throw these together.

Sausage
Dough sheets

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound roll of sausage, medium spice level (mild and spicy available, too)
  • 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cans crescent dough sheets

Directions:

Frying sausage
Fry up the sausage in a skillet.

Drain grease as you go. I use a paper towel to mop up grease as I brown the meat.

Making Crescent sausage squares
Add the cream cheese to the skillet to melt and coat the sausage. Salt and pepper to taste.

Making Crescent sausage squares

Roll out one can of Crescent dough. Pour out the sausage mixture in the middle of the dough sheet. Spread out into an even layer but leave a small border.

Add the second can of dough and place it over the sausage to make a “sandwich.” Seal, pinch, and press the outer edges to keep in the sausage mixture.

I used a fork to create tighter edges but that’s optional. I baked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes until golden brown.

Use a pizza cutter to slice squares. Make the squares as small or large as you’d like.

2. Hawaiian pizza rolls

This is our favorite from all of these recipes.

3. Crack chicken dip

A good, creamy hot dip is a must for a game-day party.

Ingredients:

  • Rotisserie chicken
  • 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 16 ounces of sour cream
  • 1 package of ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 bag shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ package of cooked bacon, crumbled

Directions:

Add shredded rotisserie chicken into a large mixing bowl.

Spray a medium casserole dish with non-stick spray then add the mixture from the bowl. Spread it out so it’s even on top.

Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

This is another dish that doesn’t look all that appealing but it is delicious. We used Frito Lay strips for the dip. It was flavorful and super cheesy.

4. Strawberry pretzel salad

Now, it’s on to dessert. There’s a pretzel crust on the bottom though you can barely see it.

Making strawberry pretzel salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 3-ounce boxes of strawberry jello mix
  • Salted pretzels
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 3 teaspoons of sugar (for crust)
  • 1 cup of sugar (for filling)
  • 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 container of Cool Whip
  • 1 container of strawberries

Directions:

Making strawberry pretzel salad
Make the jello using 2 cups of boiling water. I added the water first to the small bowl and added the

jello powder. Stir thoroughly and set it to the side to cool down.

For the crust, add 2 cups of pretzels into a zipped plastic bag. Seal the bag and crush up the pretzels with a meat mallet, rolling pin, or another method.

Next time, I’d use a food processor to pulse the pretzels.

Melt a stick of butter in a small saucepan.

Add the sugar and crushed pretzels into the saucepan. Mix to combine.

Making strawberry pretzel salad
Dump the pretzel and butter mix into a 9-inch x 13-inch casserole dish to form the crust and spread it out.

Bake the crust at 400 degrees for eight minutes.

To make the cheesecake filling, add the cream cheese, sugar, and entire container of Cool Whip to a bowl.

Use an electric mixer to make the mixture smooth. Beat for two minutes until nice and fluffy.

Spoon the filling over the cooled-down pretzel crust. Spread out with a spatula to fully cover the crust. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

For the topping, wash and slice a whole container of strawberries.

Add the strawberries into the cooled jello mixture and mix to coat.

Pour it out over the cheesecake filling and distribute evenly on top.

Cover up with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to set up for four hours but overnight is preferable.

Take the dish out when the mixture is fully chilled and set. Cut into squares.

I wish it was a little thicker, but I think it’s because I used too big of a casserole dish. I loved the dessert but need to know how to make it better.
