Here Are 20 Fall Self-Care Ideas to Get You Started:
Self-Care For Your Mind

. Write down one or two things you are grateful for each day. At the end of each week or month reflect on all you have to be grateful for.

. Journal about your self-care journey…what you are enjoying and what isn’t serving you. This is especially helpful if you are new to the idea of self-care.

. Cozy up with a book from the library or download a book onto your favorite E-reader.

. Purge your closet of warm weather clothes. Pack them away, donate what you no longer wear, or move them to the back of the closet. Bring your fall wardrobe front and center to allow for easy access when getting dressed for the day.

. Get creative and make a fun fall craft. Visit your local arts & crafts store for inspiration. You can even take a class to learn how to make a certain craft.

. Learn a new culinary skill by taking a cooking or baking class.

. Snuggle up with a warm blanket and read a book, watch a movie, or get caught up on your favorite TV series.

. Book an appointment for a massage. Be on the lookout for sales/specials/incentives offered at your favorite spa.

. Treat yourself to a manicure and/or pedicure whether it be at a spa or DIY. Either way, you will feel refreshed. (NOTE: Most spas offer packages where you combine services and ultimately save money. Check with your favorite spa or salon to see what packages they offer.)

. Soak your feet in a warm bubbly foot spa. Afterward, apply moisturizer and a pair of cozy socks.

. Pamper your skin with a hydrating or detoxifying mask. (You can read my post on basic skincare here.)

. Treat under your eyes with an eye mask to help you look and feel more awake.

. Enjoy a relaxing shower using a shower steamer for extra aromatherapy.

. Treat yourself to your favorite warm fall drink such as apple cider, pumpkin spice latte, hot cocoa, or coffee with a tasty caramel creamer.

. Pack a picnic lunch and head to your favorite park, go for a bike ride, or practice meditation in a quiet space outdoors.

. Get out and enjoy nature! Go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Be mindful of your surroundings and enjoy the moment.

Create A Cozy Feeling in Your Home This Fall

. Bake banana bread, pumpkin muffins, or even try my family’s favorite apple cake recipe. Your home will smell amazing!

. Add inexpensive fall touches to your bedroom such as cozy flannel sheets, an extra throw blanket, or a fall-scented candle. Take advantage of your hard work and spend time in your bedroom while you practice another form of self-care. This way you can enjoy the comforting additions you made to your bedroom.

. Diffuse essential oils that remind you of the season such as cinnamon, nutmeg, patchouli, and frankincense, just to name a few.

. Add a few fall-related items to your home décor such as a cozy blanket, autumn-inspired pillows, or front door wreath, or simply add a few faux pumpkins to your fireplace mantle. Giving your home the slightest nod to fall will provide you with loads of viewing enjoyment.

No matter your budget, there are plenty of fall self-care activities you can enjoy this fall. Whether you want to take a nature walk, read a good book, or take a cooking class, make sure to carve out some time for yourself this season.
