First, use all the decorations that you already have.

If something feels out of style, or you simply don’t love it anymore, think of how you can revive it. Are you able to paint it? Can you layer it with something else? Get creative with how you can bring these decor items back to life.

You can even take this a step further by using non-holiday home items to decorate for Christmas. For example, use festive wrapping paper to create book sleeves, and then put those books out on display. Or you could paint an old vase a festive Christmas color.

Tip #2 – Keep Your Decorations In The Main Living Areas

While it can be tempting to want to decorate your entire home, this may not fit your budget right now. Instead, focus on decorating your main living areas as much as possible.

After all, this is where you will be spending the majority of your time when you’re at home. Plus, this is the space that your guests will see as well.

Tip #3 – Decorate For Winter, Not Just Christmas

Oftentimes, we think we need to decorate with Christmas-specific items in order to make our home feel festive. But layering winter decor together with your Christmas decor can make your home feel equally festive.

Plus, with winter decor, you get an added cozy vibe which is always a nice perk.

Some pieces you can simply clean up and put on display right away, while others you might need to fix up a bit.
