Aldi is a fantastic place to shop because you can get a lot more for your grocery dollar. Even though everything I’ve tried is great, there are Aldi fan favorites that everyone should put into their cart. They’re the best of Aldi that sells out regularly because they’re great things at a great price.

Aldi just released their fan favorites for 2022. It's a list of 13 items and I’m going to talk about each one a little bit. The list is broken down by category, so each item is from a different department in Aldi. Join me to find out the best items to look for when you shop at Aldi.

Pantry pick - Simply Nature organic extra virgin olive oil

1. Pantry pick - Simply Nature organic extra virgin olive oil

For the pantry pick, Simply Nature organic extra virgin olive oil was the fan favorite. This olive oil is a great price compared to other stores. I have so many different olive oils on my counter right now because I have been on a journey to try to find different brands that are high quality for less money.

2. Produce pick - fresh strawberries

The produce pick, of course, was the strawberries. No surprise there. Strawberries are always a great deal at Aldi, even when comparing their strawberries with other stores in season.

In the summertime, they're going to have cheaper berries. In the fall, they're going to have cheaper berries. Aldi always wins, and their strawberries are good.

Dinner favorite - Specially Selected refrigerated stuffed ravioli

3. Dinner favorite - Specially Selected refrigerated stuffed ravioli

In the Aldi What’s for Dinner section, they have the brand Specially Selected five cheese ravioli. I have seen these and I've never purchased them because when looking at the package I felt that you don't get a lot of ravioli and they're pricey.

When I'm comparing that I can get a five-pound bag of ravioli from Walmart or for the same price, then it seems expensive to me, but I'll have to try it to see what the hype is about.

4. Catch of the Day - fresh Atlantic salmon

With all of my Aldi grocery hauls, I always buy salmon. It's so

good and very fresh. You can get so many meals from the big filet of salmon, I always have leftovers. A lot of servings come off that salmon every time I buy it, and the flavor is excellent. I cannot recommend the salmon enough.

5. Meating Your Needs - Kirkwood fresh chicken tenderloins

The chicken tenderloins are what is being voted a fan favorite this year in the meat category. I've never bought fresh tenderloins, I've always gone for frozen ones, but this one is specifically talking about fresh ones. I love the frozen ones that I get. They thaw out fast because they are so tiny and they’re so versatile in recipes.

Best for Boards - Emporium Selection aged reserve white cheddar

6. Best for Boards - Emporium Selection aged reserve white cheddar

In this category, which is specifically referring to charcuterie boards, is the emporium selection aged reserve white cheddar cheese. We're from Wisconsin, and we take cheese very seriously. I've never tried this, but it sounds great.

Fresh blueberries at Aldi

7. Dynamic Duo - Specially Selected indulgent Greek yogurt and fresh blueberries

The fan-favorite duo is their Specialty Selected indulgent greek yogurt with fresh blueberries added to it. I have tried the Aldi Greek Yogurt, and I think twice, but I am loyal to my great value Walmart brand. It's cheaper than the one at Aldi and in my opinion, it tastes better.

8. Kiddy Cravings - Simply Nature organic white cheddar puffs

In the kid's cravings category, the Simply Nature organic white cheddar puffs were chosen as the fan favorite. I think I would love them, but we stopped buying a lot of snacks from stores. To help stay within my family's grocery budget, we cut out store-bought snacks and just make a lot of our own.

Hall of Fame - Mama Cozzi's Take-and-Bake deli pizza

9. Hall of Fame - Mama Cozzi's Take-and-Bake deli pizza

No surprise there because these are amazing. Of course, I've tried these. I love every variation. I love their flatbreads. I love their cheesy garlic sticks. I love their pizzas. I've never had one that's been bad. My go-to for pizzas is the Bacon Chicken Ranch.

10. Clink and Drink - Giambellino Peach Bellini

In the clink and drink category is their peach bellini. I'm not a drinker, so I don't know if this is good. I can tell you I don't like the taste of peach, so this would probably be a hard pass for me.

Hydration Station - PurAqua Sparkling Flavored Water

11. Hydration Station - PurAqua Sparkling Flavored Water

Whoever names these deserves a raise, the names of these categories are so fun. Their PurAqua sparkling flavored waters are a fan favorite in this category. I love these. My husband and I get these all the time. They have the black cherry as their favorite, and I 100% agree. I love sparkling water as a whole. Sparkling water is what I drink when I'm trying to cut back on Diet Coke.

12. Pet Pick - Heart to Tail dog treats

Their Aldi fan favorite pet pick is their Heart to Tail dog treats. I've never gotten these before. We typically don't do treats like that. My husband hunts all the time and we just give our dogs deer bones. We cut them into sections and keep them in our garage fridge for the dogs.

Get Up and Go: Specially Selected indulgent Greek yogurt

13. Get Up and Go - Specially Selected indulgent Greek yogurt

I can't believe that nobody voted for the granola because Aldi has some bomb granola. I only buy my granola from Aldi now because all their granola is so good. The reason I like Aldi granola is that they switch it out seasonally. I like their fall and winter flavors typically, with cranberries and nutmeg, and cinnamon. I’m just not a fan of Aldi Greek yogurt.

Aldi fan favorites for 2022

That concludes the 2022 Aldi fan favorites list. I’ll be trying some new things and will continue buying our favorites from Aldi. Were your favorites on the list? Let us know in the comments what you’ve tried and what you’d add to this list.

I love, love, love Aldi's Lobster Roll Dip. It has chunks in it and I couldn't help but sit down the first day with crackers and eat half of it then the next day I had to dig in again and finished it in 2 days.😋

I hear nothing but bad things about Aldi's. Mainly people getting ill and not feeling well after eating their meats, frozen food and produce. I know there is a mass undertaking to remodel their stores. Many in my area have been remodeled, so did price go up go hand in hand with the remodel? I have not stepped foot in one for a very long time. I can not find a reason to do so now either. I hope the stores are being cleaned up and a more decent place for people to shop in.
