Let’s go over some Costco prepper items you might need for emergency food storage. You never know what the future holds. That’s why it is always best to be prepared for the worst. We’re going to look at certain strategies for stockpiling and discuss which items to focus on.

A 25-pound bag of long-grain rice is $10.99 at Costco. Rice is a great thing to stock up on because it can be stored for a very long time. A 25-pound bag of dried pinto beans for $20.89 is another great stocking item. Beans are an excellent source of protein. They also last a long time in storage.

Baby wipes are an amazing prepper tool. If we’re preparing for a scenario where we might not have clean water, a product like wet wipes will be essential. Toilet paper is also going to be a necessary stockpile item.

It is recommended to store 1 gallon of clean water per person per day for two weeks. Stock up on bottled water to be prepared for catastrophes that might make it hard to get clean water. It is not possible to survive without clean water, so this is an essential item. Purification tablets are also a good option.

Canned goods are great for emergency foods. Canned chili is a good option because you just open it and heat it up. Peanut butter is another good option because it’s high in calories and has some good fats and proteins. Go for the brand that’s higher in preservatives. For cooking oil healthier oils like olive or avocado oil will not last as long as canola or vegetable oils.

Remember to take expiration dates into account. Store up the foods that will last the longest. Costco has great options for bulk storage at affordable prices.

You can also slice Spam, fry it, put it on bread or buns if you have them. Then add regular burger toppings. I love great Spam Burgers! We used to have them when money was tight. And for a too-short period of time, there was a 5-&-dime near us with an old fashioned soda fountain & they had Spam burgers as well as bologna burgers! So good!
