3 Cheap and Easy Beef Meal Ideas

Are you looking for new cheap beef meals? You’re in luck! I have three amazing beef dishes that you need to make. They are easy and affordable and so delicious.

Country-style steak

1. Country-style steak recipe


Ingredients:

  • Cube steak
  • 1 packet of French onion soup mix
  • 1 can beef consomme/broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Directions:

Lay cube steak on the bottom of your slow cooker.

Season with salt and pepper. Layer more cube steaks and season with salt and pepper.


Sprinkle a packet of French onion soup mix.

Add in a can of beef broth.

Add in a can of cream of mushroom soup. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.

Plating it up! I served this with green beans, mashed potatoes, and a roll.


2. Barbacoa recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lb. chuck roast
  • 3 oranges
  • 2 limes
  • 1 large white onion diced
  • 4 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp. black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tbs. cumin
  • Thyme leaves (a few shakes)
  • 2 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 cup water or beef stock
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • Guajillo chili package


Directions:

Mix the marinade: juice two oranges, two limes, ½ of an onion, and garlic.

Add in seasoning and vinegar.

Marinate chuck roast overnight in the fridge.

Add meat and marinade to the slow cooker in the morning.

Squeeze in the juice of one orange into the slow cooker. Add white vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.


Add cumin, oregano, and thyme.

Add water or beef stock. Make sure the pieces of meat are soaked in the marinade and added to the mixture.


Add bay leaves on top.


Cook on high for four hours.


Open after four hours, take the beef out of the slow cooker, and shred it. Put it aside.


Make the sauce:

To a pan, add:

  • Diced tomato
  • 10 guajillo chilis without the seeds (dump seeds from the guajillos).
  • 1 cup water.


Season with salt and pepper


Bring a pan of water and ingredients to a boil for seven minutes.

Add the boiled mixture to a blender and blend thoroughly to make the sauce.

Add the shredded beef back into the slow cooker, and add the blended sauce over the beef. Stir.

Let the mixture cook again for two more hours on high in the slow cooker. It will be liquidy.

Plating it up!I added the mixture on top of a taco or fajita and added some salsa Verdi, fresh cilantro, and finely diced onions to the top.


3. Mississippi pot roast recipe


Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lb. chuck roast
  • Ranch seasoning packet
  • Au jus gravy mix packet
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 8-10 whole pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 jar pepperoncini


Directions:

Put the chuck roast into the slow cooker.

Add in the ranch seasoning.

Add in the packet of au jus gravy mix.

Put the whole stick of butter on top of the roast.

Add 8 to 10 pepperoncini to the slow cooker around the base of the roast.

Add juice from the jar of pepperoncini to the slow cooker to add extra flavor.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Shred it after it’s cooked.

The meat will pull apart easily for shredding. I served it on top of mashed potatoes but you can serve it over rice or on a tortilla. You don’t have to eat the pepperoncini!

    These Recipes All Sounds Soo Good! However ….. Size Measurement Details Was Left Out! (Lbs., oz.,) For The Country Style Steak.

    The Mississippi Pot Roast is tasty and well liked by everyone to whom I have ever served it. You can get mild pepperoni peppers if you do not want a lot of heat, this is what I use. If the saturated fat in a whole stick of butter is problematic 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup water or broth will work. It is an easy, tasty dish for anytime you want it.
