The Best Dollar Tree Hacks to Save Big This Christmas

If you are tired of spending too much on holiday gifts and decor, I got you.

You truly do not have to spend a fortune to have a magical holiday season and to decorate your home for Christmas.

Here are 13 Dollar Tree hacks that will give you peace of mind.

Festive snacks

1. Champagne flute hack

If, like us, you do not have the room to store a whole holiday set of dinnerware, add a pop of color by filling a champagne flute with some decorative scatter and glue gunning it to two plaid trays from Dollar Tree. If you do not want to make it permanent, use the glue dots that Dollar Tree sells.

For sweet treats to fill the trays in case you are not into holiday baking, take advantage of Little Debbie's pre-prepared and wrapped treats. These come in really handy for parties and when guests come.

2. Easy cleaning

Instead of using chemical cleaners, keep it simple and make your own elegant and effective cleaning spray bottles. Get two of those spray bottles from Dollar Tree and peel off the label.

With a Cricut, a label maker or just some tape, label the bottles – one for all-purpose surface cleaners, and the other for mirrors and reflective surfaces.

For the all-purpose surface cleaner, add one teaspoon of pH neutral soap to a bottle mostly filled with filtered water. Then add 5 to 10 drops of my favorite essential oils.

For the glass cleaner, put in equal parts of filtered water and white vinegar, and some more essential oils.

These two cleaners work amazingly well and are better for your furniture than strong chemicals, and the bottles look really high end.

Drawer organization

3. Drawer organization

To organize your drawers, get some rose gold and acrylic drawer organizers in two different sizes, as well as three plastic shot glasses.

All you need to do is glue those shot glasses to the bottom of the oblong drawer organizer and secure it to the bottom of the square organizer.

This will be great for your vanity drawer, your desk accessories or makeup.

Over-the-door organizer

4. Extra hiding space

Where do you hide the gifts for your family before the holidays? If you want some extra space for hiding those gifts, pick up a couple over-the-door wire organizers from Dollar Tree, hang them in a hidden part of your closet, and you can hang baskets and shopping bags on them.

Dollar Tree stickers

5. Simple labels

There is absolutely no need to break the bank when it comes to labeling and organizing items, either in your own home or those that you are giving as gifts.

For less than $5, you can pick up two or three packs of these alphabet stickers at Dollar Tree. They come in all styles and colors.

Dollar Tree air freshener

6. Subtle scent

If traditional candles and holiday scents are too overpowering for your space or your nose, consider these little air fresheners from the Dollar Tree.

They are meant for your car, but you can also use them on the output vent in your home. Before the holiday season starts, change your air filters, dust those vents, and then apply this really subtle little scent.

Trunk storage

7. Trunk storage

If you are planning to do some traveling in your car around the holidays, this Dollar Tree organization hack will help you get your trunk organized so that you have all the items you need easily accessible.

Get six Dollar Tree crates, and put three in the back to organize safety items, and three in the front to store things you will often need on the road, such as tissues and water bottles.

Zip them together with zip ties to keep them from shifting around, but not too tightly.

8. Smart shopping

Make sure to carefully compare cost and volume when you are shopping. These two items are completely different volumes, yet the price is exactly the same.

Storage caddies

9. Storage caddies

Dollar Tree has been carrying these six section caddies in the teacher's supplies section. This caddy makes a great gift, but it is also wonderful if you are having a little hot cocoa party or a bonfire. You can fill half of those with your hot drinks and half of them with little treats.

Another option is to create a portable gift wrapping station with this caddy. You can put things like scissors, tape, pens, gift tags, gift bags and even ribbon inside, and then just take that whole thing from room to room wherever you find yourself wrapping gifts.

Sponge from Dollar Tree

10. Streamline cleaning

Get this green sponge with a yellow hand pocket on the back in the automotive section at Dollar Tree. This is meant as a car washing sponge, but it is fantastic for projects like six-panel doors or baseboards that have lots of nooks and crannies.

I always dread cleaning those and put it off as long as I can, but this little glove sponge makes them so easy and even fun to clean.

Simple décor

11. Simple décor

If you are on a budget with your decorating, this Dollar Tree Christmas hack is going to save you. Dollar Tree puts these iridescent globes out at the beginning of every season, so if you see them, make sure you stock up.

Twist the top part of that globe for a beautiful little light show. I love using these for hand towels in my bathroom, but you could use them on your Christmas tree or all over your house.

Microfiber towel

12. Last-minute gift

You all know that I am a big dog lover and many of you are as well. Pick up these adorable dog iron-on decals and put them on microfiber towels to help differentiate between them. They would also make adorable gifts for the pet lover in your life.

Party servers

13. Party servers

If you are hosting a holiday gathering, but there is no space for all those serving bowls and platters, pick up a few of these stackable cat litter bins in the pet section at Dollar Tree. They make excellent ice buckets, as well as containers.

I spray painted them gold and used them for my daughter's rehearsal dinner, and no one guessed what they really were. Each one of these boxes holds multiple bags of chips, and they can also stack together and stack on top of each other.

I could not locate the area where you suggested products at the end of your hacks for organizing. I am particularly interested in the themal sticker maker.
