Cleaning Closet Organization Hacks

Hi friends. Today, I want to share with you my cleaning closet organization. I live in a studio, so my storage space is limited, making me try to optimize all the space available.

I have all of my cleaning supplies organized neatly in my one cleaning closet, which I am showing to you today. Let’s get started!

Closet

This is my ultimate cleaning closet. I placed this closet in a weird nook in the kitchen of my studio, which ended up creating a built-in around my refrigerator. I needed a place to store my cleaning tools, so this became the perfect solution.

This closet is actually from the Home Depot. I changed out the handle to make it match the rest of my kitchen. It comes with multiple shelves but I just needed the one to hold my Lazy Susan which holds all of my homemade cleaning products.

There are five bottles that cost me only $7.48 to make altogether.

In the caddy on the left, I hold several detail cleaning tools, including the attachments for my vacuum and a car detailing kit with detailing brushes and a microfiber cleaning cloth.

I use these brushes for many purposes including cleaning small appliances, vacuum, or my humidifier. I also dust more intricate items around the house.

I also keep my furniture markers here, which I like to keep handy in here when I go around dusting. If I notice any nicks on the furniture, these fill them in and make the furniture look like new again. I love these walnut scrubbing sponges, and I keep one at the sink and the backup here.

I also have my steel wool here which I use to clean the enamel on my cast iron pan. In the middle, I have a magic eraser and an extra microfiber cleaning pad that goes on my microfiber mat. Finally, this is also where I keep the funnels that came with my favorite spray bottles.

Most of my cleaning tools come from the same line from Target, which I adore. My microfiber mop includes a spray bottle and a mechanism to actually apply the spray to the floor, which I love. My scrub mop is two-sided.

You use the sponge side for regular cleaning and then you flip it to use the scrubber side to scrub anything that is really stuck on.

Dust pan and brush

I also love this little mini broom and dust pan. My favorite part about it is the teeth that help to clean the brush.

Then I have a squeegee with a solid handle, as I have had several in the past where the handle broke, and an iron handle scrub brush.

These hooks are from Amazon, and they are absolutely the best. They are totally stuck on this cabinet, they are not budging and not coming off.

If you did not know how to store a stick vacuum in a closet, you just need to remove the top and set it on the hook at the bottom. Your vacuum is able to stand on its own, so you do not have to worry about it falling over and breaking.

One of my favorite parts about this cleaning closet are these bag clips I attached. I attached them to the inside of the closet’s door using E6000 glue.

They are perfect because they allow me to hang my clothes in between uses so that they are able to dry before the next use. I keep the clothes clean by washing them with my homemade laundry detergent.
