If you live in a tiny apartment and are looking for ideas on how to organize a small home, Kristen McGowan has come up with seven great ideas for home organization for small spaces. Let’s dive in!

If your mug drawer looks messy, slide-on mug hooks can help you organize it and make the best of all the vertical space.

The cutlery drawer can be optimized, too, with a cutlery organizer: tuck all the items underneath each other for a really organized and clean look. You can save space and combine utensils and cutlery in the same drawer.

To free up the countertop space you normally use for drying dishes, get a drying rack that you put directly over the sink. That can also be used to prep your food.

If you have a double-door fridge and are craving some more separation, try using undershelf baskets for some extra space. They are handy in every area of the house, too.

A storage opportunity that is perhaps not that obvious is doors. You can get a hook on top of your door and use that to store bigger items such as an ironing board right behind the door.

Moving from the kitchen to the laundry room, if your laundry baskets are taking up too much space, consider getting a collapsible one - it can be put away easily and even stored under your bed (or on a hook behind your door!).

Finally, in the wardrobe, save space by switching from plastic hangers to velvet ones: thanks to the slim design, you can fit much more of those in a limited space, and they will also hold your clothes really well.
